No Need for Binding With These Soft Hanpen Fishcake Patties

I wanted to make soft hamburger patties made from hanpen.
I made this with grated potato so that no binding materials were necessary to create the right texture.
They stay soft even when cold, so I recommend these for bento lunch boxes.
Grate the potato just before mixing the materials together.
You don't need to use ao-nori.
Feel free to add other condiments such as onion and perilla leaves. Recipe by Arikan

Steps
- 1
Put the hanpen in a bowl and mash.
- 2
Add drained tuna and grated potato.
- 3
Insert all the ingredients marked with ※ and mix together. Created bite-sized shapes. It's okay if you don't have aonori.
- 4
Cover a heated pan with oil and fry both sides on low to medium heat.
- 5
Once golden brown, they're done. I made 10 this time.
- 6
They're delicious as-is, but add seasoning to taste if you prefer. I don't have a picture but I ate them with a salted sticky sauce.
- 7
Made this with half the hanpen, 70 g of potato (1 small), 1 tablespoon of salmon flakes, and 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise. These were also delicious.
