Sweet Potato with Gochujang

When I was eating "Shiitake Mushroom with Gochujang", I thought it might be good with sweet potatoes.

The seasoning might be too strong, depending on your taste. You can increase the amount of sweet potatoes if you like.
Katakuriko is used in the shiitake mushroom version, but it's not used in this recipe. That's why you only need a bit of sesame oil. Recipe by John Lee Cooker

Sweet Potato with Gochujang

Ingredients

  1. 100 gramsSweet potato
  2. 1 tspSesame oil
  3. 1 tbsp●Gochujang
  4. 1 tbsp●Sake
  5. 1 tsp●Soy sauce
  6. 1 tsp●Honey
  7. 1 tsp●Vinegar
  8. 1 1/2 tspplus ●Grated ginger
  9. 1Roasted sesame seeds

Cooking Instructions

    Soften the sweet potato by steaming or microwaving. Cut into 1 cm thick round slices or semicircular slices.

    Mix the ● ingredients, and set aside.

    Heat the sesame oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Pan-fry the Step 1 sweet potato until both sides are golden brown.

    Swirl in the ● mixture. Coat the sweet potato with the sauce while shaking the pan.

  5. 5

    When most of the moisture is almost gone, serve on a plate. Sprinkle with sesame seeds if you like.
