Ingredients

45 minutes
5 people
  • 300 gramspaneer (cut in equal squares)
  • 3medium sized tomatoes (roughly chopped)
  • 1large onion (roughly chopped)
  • 1 cupcashews
  • 14-15garlic cloves
  • 1 inchginger
  • 1 cupfresh cream
  • 1 tspChilli powder
  • 1-2 tspshahi paneer masala
  • 1 tspcoriander powder
  • 1 tspcrushed kasoori methi
  • 1 tspgaram masala
  • to taste Salt
  • 1bay leaf
  • 2-3cardamom pods
  • 1-2cloves
  • 1/2 inchcinnamon stick
  • 1/2 spooncumin seeds
  • as neededButter or ghee
  • 2 spoonCoriander leaves for garnishing

Steps

45 minutes
  1. 1

    Heat a kadhai, add 1 tsp ghee. Add ginger and garlic and saute for 1 minutes

  2. 2

    Add Cashwes to the kadhai and saute well.

  3. 3

    Add chopped onion and tomatoes to the kadhai and saute till tomatoes get soften or for at least 5 to 6 minutes.

  4. 4

    Cool down the mixture and the blend it finely in a mixer.

  5. 5

    Heat the same kadhai again and add 1 tsp ghee.

  6. 6

    Add the whole spices and saute for some seconds.

  7. 7

    Then add the blended tomato paste to the kadhai and saute well

  8. 8

    Add all the spices along with the shahi paneer masala and give it a good mix.

  9. 9

    After the aroma came out from the masala add salt as needed and 1 cup of fresh cream and mix well.

  10. 10

    Finally add 300gms of paneer and cook it for 3 to 4 minutes.

  11. 11

    Add some water as per your need and again cook it for 3 to 4 minutes.

  12. 12

    Lastly add some crushed kasoori methi, some garam masala and some chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with naan/roti/paratha.
