Make a big batch and freeze it for later. Good with toast, potatoes or even rice if that's your thing. This has been a go to of mine for years which is why there are so many options. The quality of the chili powder makes all the difference here.

Ingredients

  1. 1 lbground beef
  2. 1med onion
  3. 1 cankidney beans(drained)
  4. 1 cancambells tomato soup
  5. 2 mlpepper flakes
  6. 2 tbspchilli powder
  7. 75 mlchopped peppers
  8. 75 mlchopped mushrooms
  9. 125 ml (1 can)cooked lentils
  10. Garlic(optional)

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Brown onions slowly until brown. Add beef and garlic and brown as well. (optional to pour off fat)

    Add remaining ingredients to large pot. Bring to boil then reduce heat to low. Simmer for 1 hour.

    Watch liquid level as you cook. I often add another can of water.

    You can also add tomato paste or canned tomatoes as well. Or corn if you fancy.

    If mushrooms are canned, add then for the last 10 mi items only.
