Ingredients

  • For the cake base
  • 5eggs
  • 8 tablespoonssugar
  • 1 cupmilk (about 240 ml)
  • 1 cupvegetable oil (about 240 ml)
  • 3 1/3-3 2/3 cupsall-purpose flour (about 400-430 grams)
  • 1 packetbaking powder (about 0.5 ounce or 16 grams)
  • For decorating
  • 1 cupchocolate chips (about 150 grams)
  • 1 cupraisins (about 150 grams)
  • Aromatic mix (see ingredients below)
  • For the aromatic mix
  • 2oranges (zest only)
  • 1lemon (zest only)
  • 1 tablespoonhoney
  • 1 tablespoonrum
  • 1 tablespoonvanilla extract or 1 packet vanilla sugar

Steps

    Start by making the aromatic mix: combine all the ingredients and mix well. Cover with plastic wrap and let it rest. For a stronger flavor, you can prepare this 1-2 days in advance.

    A few minutes before starting, soak the raisins in water and set aside. Beat the eggs with the sugar until light and fluffy, then add the oil, milk, sifted flour, and baking powder, mixing well to combine.

    Add the aromatic mix, chocolate chips, and drained, patted-dry raisins. Gently fold everything together with a spatula, then pour the batter into a baking pan lined with parchment paper.

    Bake at 350°F (180°C) for about 45 minutes. Check doneness with a toothpick before turning off the oven.

    Let the cake cool completely before serving. If you like, dust the top with powdered sugar. Enjoy!

Amo cucinare qualsiasi pietanza, mi piace creare e sperimentare, a dire il vero ho fatto grandi casini in passato.. ma l'esperienza premia e adesso i risultati mi sorprendono sempre e, cosa che mi fa più piacere, sorprendono gli altri. Cucino per me e per la mia famiglia piatti leggeri, light.. ma non ci facciamo mancare qualche strappo alla regola.. magari il sabato sera o invitando qualche amico.. soprattutto parlando di dolci, che adoriamo fare e soprattutto mangiare 😋😋😋😋😋.. se vi fa piacere seguitemi nella mia cucina e divertiamoci insieme 👩🏻‍🍳🤩😍❤💙❤🌻!
