Select your beans to remove impurities

Soak the beans in water and leave for 15 minutes

When the beans get soaked, remove the chaff on the beans. Pinch it to remove its outermost layer in order to get a smooth beans.

Cut your onions into desired shapes.

Add your onion and crayfish to a blender. Blend till you get a smooth texture

Make sure the paste is smooth.

Add spices, crayfish, salt and maggi.

Be generous with your pepper!

Stir until you have an even composition of the paste.

Put your oil on the gas or stove and allow to get hot.

When hot, start adding the bean paste to the frying pan. Allow to fry and turn it around when one side is getting brown.

Remove from oil when its brown enough in colour.

Enjoy your Akara with custard, pap, garri or tea.
