Wash soak dal and rice for nearly ten minutes.

Chop tomato in large pieces.

In a pressure cooker add ghee. When it is heated up add cumin seeds, fenugreek seeds and hing. Add turmeric powder and tomatoes. Stir and cook for 2 minutes.

Add soaked rice and dal.Roast for a minute. Add 5 cups of water and salt.

When the water starts boiling place the lid of pressure cooker and pressure cook for 2 whistles.

Let the pressure of the cooker drop. Serve with a dollop of ghee and serve hot.
