Sweet Potato Bites-like Cake Topped with Apples

I once saw sweet potato bites topped with apples, but when I later went to buy it, it was sold out. So I made it at home.

Cooking Instructions
- 1
Slice the apple into thick pieces and simmer with sugar in a pot. Cover with a lid and stir occasionally. There's no need to add water. 10 minutes should be enough.
- 2
Cut the sweet potato into small pieces (about 1 cm cubes) and heat in a separate pot along with the milk. Cover with a lid and heat until the potatoes are soft. ※Caution! Don't burn them.
- 3
Once softened, use a wooden spatula to stir and mash the potatoes on low heat.
- 4
It will turn into a paste like this. You can leave some clumps while mashing if you prefer.
- 5
Beat the butter brought to room temperature until soft. Add the sugar and mix until pale.
- 6
Gradually add the beaten egg.
- 7
Mix in the sweet potatoes from Step 4.
- 8
Add the flour and baking powder and stir everything together.
- 9
Pour the mixture into the cake mold and top with the apples from Step 1.
- 10

Sweet Potato Cake Sweet Potato Cake
I had 1/2 of a sweet potato leftover so I decided to make a cake with it. It weight just 250g...and I used 1 pack (200ml) of soy milk, so there are no leftovers after making this cake.If you don't have any pancake mix, you can use 2 tablespoons of cake flour and 1/3 teaspoon of baking powder sifted together iinstead. If you only mash the sweet potato roughly, the cake will have a chunky texture. Recipe by invitro cookpad.japan -
Sweet Potato Cakes Sweet Potato Cakes
I wanted to make something quick that I already had the ingredients for whilst my son was napping one day and thought of sweet potato cakes. Whilst this cake is nice and smooth, the best thing about it is it's delicious natural sweet potato taste.-Make sure to mix in the butter and sugar whilst the potato is still hot.-Feel free to adjust the sweetness of this dish.-If you don't have a pastry brush, you can drizzle the egg yolks over and then use the back of the spoon to spread it instead. Sweet Potato Pound Cake Sweet Potato Pound Cake
I wanted to have some sweet potatoes but I wanted some cake, too. So I granted this wish with this potato-filled cake I created. The potatoes inside this cake are boiled for sweetness and the cake itself was made to be not too dense.Though it may be a bit annoying, straining the sweet potatoes will give them a softer feel.Add in the egg a little at a time so they don't separate. The cake will come out with a lighter finish if you use powdered sugar. Even if one part gets burned, it will still be delicious. If you let the cake sit for a day, it will become moist and even more delicious. Recipe by Keyua cookpad.japan -

I made cute looking Asian sweet potato cakes. If you want to make it smooth, strain the potatoes. But I think mashing is enough. Cookie cutters with complicated shape are not good for this. You could use only egg yolks for the glaze, but I used a whole egg. Use the leftover eggs for something else. Recipe by Soraironikki cookpad.japan -
