Tur dal cooked with palak it tastes awesome It goes well with hot chapatis and steam rice.

First, soak palak in lukewarm warm water with a pinch of haldi and a pinch of salt for 1/2 a hrs. Then washed it properly thrice till all the dust goes off. Drain the water and keep it aside. In a cooker heat oil then add 1 dry red chilli and cumin seeds. Let it crackle for few minutes. Add chopped onion fry till it becomes light brown in colour. Add all the dry masala saute it for few minutes.

Then add palak and mixed it well. Add tur dal mixed it properly then add water as needed.

Pressure cook for 3 whistles. Once it is done. Open the lid and transfer to a serving bowl...........

Garnish with a 1 tsp ghee and chopped coriander. Ready to serve palak dal with steam rice.
