Firstly wash the dal 2-3 times then add 3 cups water, salt, haldi, spinach n tomato to it. Pressure cook on low to medium flame for 3-4 whistles.

In a pan heat ghee add curry leaves, cumin seeds, chili, ginger & garlic. Sauté it for a minute.

Then add onions & cook well add tomatoes & all the spices to it... cook till the tomatoes get messy...

Open the pressure cooker...whisk it & pour the dal into the tadka pan.

Adjust water consistency & cook for 2-3mins ready to serve squeeze some lemon juice.

Enjoy with paratha, rice, or have it as a full meal if you are on diet.
