The cassata that I had at a restaurant was so delicious, so I made an easy version at home.

Use any of your favorite dried fruits, nuts, or chocolate!
I recommend cranberries because they have just enough tartness.

Ingredients

1 serving
  1. 1 packagesDried fruits (cranberry or raisin)
  2. 1Nuts (optional)
  3. 1Chocolate bar (milk or white)
  4. 1 dashLiqueur (optional)
  5. 200 mlHeavy cream (or soy-based heavy cream)
  6. 35 gramsSugar

Steps

  1. 1

    Put the dried fruit in a container and soak it in the favoring liqueur. Chop the chocolate bar and nuts finely.

  2. 2

    Line a pound cake mold with a sheet of parchment paper.

  3. 3

    Beat the heavy cream and sugar until stiff peaks form.

  4. 4

    Add the dried fruits from Step 1 into the whipped cream.

  5. 5

    Pour the Step 4 mixture into the pound cake mold, chill in the freezer until firm, and it's done.
