I did cheat - used Shop bought frozen Pastry and the sweet mincemeat came out of a Shop bought jar of sweet mincemeat.Already made Shop bought Mince Pies are not usually the size of tartlets and I baked with pastry tops on.

I did cheat - used Shop bought frozen Pastry and the sweet mincemeat came out of a Shop bought jar of sweet mincemeat.Already made Shop bought Mince Pies are not usually the size of tartlets and I baked with pastry tops on.

Preheat the oven to Gas Mark 7. Divide the defrosted Pastry into Two equal pieces and then roll out the One half between 2 Pieces of Kitchen Paper,or Kitchen Foil will a Rolling Pin. Cut a cross in the rolled out Pastry so you have 4 identical squares.

Damp Kitchen Roll with Vegetable Oil and then grease the 4 - Professional Baking Tartlet Trays with pull out from the bottom round metal discs - yes - grease both and then work the rolled out Pastry into each One.Add 2 tablespoons of mincemeat too each tartlet.Roll out the other half of the Pastry and then use a round Pastry Cutter to make 4 discs,use leftover Pastry around the edges - baste,add a tsp. of sugar too each,then make a hole in each top.

Bake them on a Baking Tray,add Kitchen Foil over the top and then bake for 40 minutes at Gas Mark 7.Once the 40 minutes is up - then take the foil off and then bake on for a further 15 minutes at Gas Mark 7 should be done then and then allow to cool for 20 minutes,before pushing the cooked Tartlets onto a wire cooling rack.Enjoy freshly baked after 30 minutes of cooling on the wire cake rack - or store away from mice for eating later.
