Strawberry and Chocolate Cookie Tiramisu

This tiramisu (apologies to purists for the name) was created when I needed to substitute ladyfingers with another type of cookie, preferably chocolate. I thought of chocolate star cookies, which my nieces and nephews love and which work well in any delicious recipe. The mascarpone cream is egg-free, but with the addition of whipped cream (you can use non-dairy if you prefer) and sweetened condensed milk, it’s perfectly creamy! With the ingredients listed, I made two layers. I recommend making it the night before and letting it chill in the fridge overnight. Easy, quick, and absolutely delicious!

Mix the mascarpone with the vanilla powdered sugar until smooth and creamy. Add the sweetened condensed milk and stir to combine.

Whip the heavy cream with an electric mixer. It doesn’t need to be fully stiff; it’s fine if it’s still a bit soft.

Add the whipped cream to the mascarpone mixture and blend well until you have a smooth, even cream.

Spread some of the mascarpone cream over a layer of cookies and sprinkle with chopped strawberries.

Continue layering the ingredients in the same way until everything is used up. For the final layer, add a generous amount of strawberries! Easy, quick, and delicious! Enjoy your dessert!

Start by making the first layer of chocolate star cookies, dipping them lightly in lime juice. I made a second layer of cookies before adding the cream to make the base sturdier.
