As you know that poha is easily digestible, healthy and nutritious. This Kanda Batata Poha is perfect as a breakfast or snack or brunch. I like to enjoy it with a cup of coffee while hubby loves it with a cup of tea. I have seen many stalls serves it with topping of spicy thin sev. Here I have used it with besan thin sev.

Ingredients

25 minutes
4 people
  1. 1big size finely chopped onion
  2. 3medium size boiled and chopped potatoes
  3. 4finely chopped green chilli
  4. 6-7sweet curry leaves
  5. 200 gramPoha (flatten rice)
  6. 2 tbspchopped green coriander leaves
  7. 2 tbsppeanut seeds
  8. 1 tbspsugar
  9. 1/2 tspturmeric powder
  10. 1 tspred chilli powder
  11. 1 tspmustard seeds
  12. 1 tspcumin seeds
  13. as per tasteSalt
  14. 2no of lemon juice
  15. For Garnishing :--
  16. As requiredGreen coriander
  17. as per requiredBesan thin sev
  18. as per required Pomegranate seeds
  19. as needed Lemon

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    First take a pan. Heat oil in it. Then add mustard seeds and cumin seeds to it and stir. Then add peanuts and saut it.

    Then add green chillies and sweet curry leaves and stir it. Then add onion and fry till it turns pink. Then add boiled potatoes and let it fry for a while.

    Then add spices. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder and salt. And mix well. Then add the washed and cleaned poha. Mix it well and let it fry for 10 minutes. Then add sugar and turn off the gas. Then add lemon juice and mix everything. Then add green coriander and mix everything.

    Now ready to eat and serve Kanda Potato Poha.... Garnishing this poha with besan sev, pomegranate seeds with a slice of lemon.
