Ingredients

20 minutes
2-4 servings
  • 2 cupssprouted whole green moong beans
  • 1medium sized tomato, diced
  • 1small sized or 1/4 cup boiled potato, chopped and diced
  • 1/4 cupcucumber, chopped and diced
  • 1banana, thin slits
  • 1green chilli, finely chopped
  • 1 tsprock salt/kala namak
  • 1 1/2 tsp black pepper powder
  • 1 1/2 tbsp lime juice
  • 1 tbspjulienned fresh mint leaves (optional)
  • 1 tspchat masala (optional)
  • as per needJulienned fresh coriander leaves for garnishing
  • Pinchsalt and turmeric powder

Steps

20 minutes
  1. 1

    Rinse the whole green moong bean sprouts and transfer into a strainer.

  2. 2

    In a pressure cooker boil the sprouts with sufficient water giving two whistles on high flame. Add a pinch of salt and turmeric powder.

  3. 3

    Strain the boiled sprouts and let them cool down for at least 10 minutes.

  4. 4

    Mix all the ingredients in a bowl and mix well.
    Serve as a side dish with the main coarse or enjoy with the chilled yogurt.
