Japanese Seaweed Salad with Sesame & Miso Dressing Japanese Seaweed Salad with Sesame & Miso Dressing
Japanese seaweed salad with sesame and miso dressing is a quick and very refreshing recipe which is perfect to eat during the hot summer weather. I will share with you two different ways to prepare this salad. One with Japanese mustard greens (mizuna); and one with cucumber, red leaf lettuce and tomato.35 years ago in Japan, I was introduced to the Japanese seaweed salad(Kaisou Sarada in Japanese) and fell in love with this dish. An authentic Japanese seaweed salad is not the same as those you get in the Japanese restaurant in the State. If you’ve ever had it, it actually tastes so much better.Video instruction: youtu.be/6XfgAMoe_Gs Julie - Mrs. Lin's Kitchen -

When bean sprouts are cheap, I tend to buy a lot of it but it goes bad quickly, so I made a salad so I could use them up. I added aburaage, which I had in the refrigerator.Be sure not to overboil the bean sprouts! Just blanch them in order to retain their crunchy crispy texture.Adjust the amount of mayonnaise and soy sauce to taste. If you add too much mayonnaise, the salad will get soggy, so watch for that. Ramen Salad with Sesame Dressing at Home Ramen Salad with Sesame Dressing at Home
This dish was born in Hokkaido. You don't see it as much at restaurants anymore... but I thought it should be easy to make at home. After some research, I came up with an easy sesame dressing! This is a delicious dish on its own, and looks healthy too. Why not make it for your kids, or for a potluck party? If you think the dressing is too sweet, use less sugar. You can make a lot of this salad and store it for later, but it's easy so you can make it as you need it. Serving individual portions makes it easier to eat. I recommend this for lunch. If you add spice with doubanjiang or yangnyumjang, you can quickly transform it into a spice-touced dish. Salad with Strawberry Dressing Served in a Noodle Basket Salad with Strawberry Dressing Served in a Noodle Basket
I made this recipe using a photo in an American magazine as reference. Strawberry dressing is sold in cans, but every brand I've tried has too much balsamic vinegar for my taste, killing the flavor of the strawberries. So I made a dressing with the proportions I like. It's an easy yet really delicious dressing that I'm very proud of.Choose a flat pasta-type like linguine or fettuccine for the noodle basket. Drain the boiled pasta very well, and then stick onto the surface of a bowl. Don't rinse the pasta or it will not stick. Don't forget to brush the surface of the bowl with oil. If you want the dressing to be richer, add olive oil. I recommend young baby spinach leaves. For 2 servings. Recipe by Yukirinrin cookpad.japan
