Cream Buns

These homemade and freshly baked Buns are a treat to our tastebuds. Just like Mumbai Bun Maska, these are also a simple Breakfast treat in Hyderabad available in every Bakery and even roadside Restaurants and small Hotels.
However it's always better if we use fresh homemade Malai for these beautiful looking Buns. Nevertheless you can use store bought Fresh Cream as well.
These are delicious and very healthy with Malai and a glass of hot Milk or Tea. Not only are they great in taste, they are gorgeous as well. Kids will love this wonderful combo.
And even the adults are not left far behind. Everyone loves this special Breakfast here and my family is no exception either.
We just enjoy this luscious Cream Buns on every weekend for sure.
Enjoy Cooking with Zeen!

Steps
- 1
Add Flour, salt and butter to a large bowl. Stir in a teaspoon of sugar in warm milk and put in the yeast. Let it rest in a warm or hot place for a few minutes or till the yeast has started to bubble up and becomes frothy. Also it has a strong smell which shows that it is ready for use.
- 2
Using milk, knead the dough. If it so happens that more liquid is needed, either use milk or water. Let it rest in a warm place for a few hours or till the dough has risen to double it's quantity. Once the dough is done, punch it down. And start to pull out sections and form them into small and equal balls. You can make buns of any shape.
- 3
Let these rise for about an hour in a warm place. Give a milk wash and sprinkle some Black Seeds or Kalonji on top if desired. Otherwise just leave them plain as it is after the milk wash. Bake them at 180 degree Celsius for about 25-30 minutes or till they have developed a golden brown colour. Let them cool completely after done.
- 4
Cut up the buns through the centre. Fill them up with Fresh cream either store bought or homemade Malai. Sugar can be one's own choice. You can add as desired to the Cream and mix. Enjoy!
