Steps
- 1
Wash and rinse this Daal for about 4-5 times. It is necessary to do so to remove the white froth that bubbles up while cooking. After washing and rinsing properly, soak daal in clean drinking water so as to immerse it properly for 3-4 hours.
- 2
Now pressure cook it along with a little Salt just for 2 whistles. That's it. Otherwise it tends to become too mushy and soft. Set it aside to cool.
- 3
In a pan, heat Oil and add Ginger garlic paste. Fry for a minute and then add the finely chopped Green Chillies and Coriander Leaves. Add this tadka to the cooked or boiled Daal. Adjust Salt as desired.
- 4
Meanwhile you can deep fry thinly sliced Onions as we do for the Biryani. This is done according to one's own liking. Fry more or less of the Onions as liked by your families. Serve this for Breakfast with Rotis topped with deep fried Onions. Enjoy ! Yum!
