Chicken Shawarma Platter

Chicken Shawarma is one of the popular and most loved recipe from Middle East. It tastes so delicious, extremely flavorful and super easy to make. Chicken Shawarma Platter is loaded with succulent shawarma-spiced chicken, creamy garlic sauce (Toum), fresh pita bread, fresh salad, crunchy French fries and Middle Eastern pickled veggies.
Garlic sauce is very easy to make with fresh garlic, lemon juice and oil. Prep it ahead and refrigerate until use. Chicken breast is marinated with spices for 3-4 hours or overnight . It can be baked, grilled or pan fried. Sliced and served with fresh pita bread, salad, french fries, pickled veggies and garlic sauce.
For salad, you can use lettuce, cabbage, onion, tomato, cucumber, and parsley. Pickled veggies can be brought from store or prepared by soaking chopped carrot, raddish, beetroot, turnip, cucumber in vinegar along with water, salt and sugar for 4-5 days in the refrigerator. You can use pita bread, lavash bread, tortilla, roomali roti or roti to stuff all the tasty ingredients and make Chicken Shawarma Wrap.
Chicken Shawarma Platter is best to serve people with different liking. They can add their own stuffing as per liking and taste. Serve it for get togethers or at family dinner.

To make toum, take roughly chopped garlic in a clean dry jar. Add in salt, and blend to a smooth paste.

Start emulsification process with blender on, adding 1/2 cup of oil gradually. Once oil is blended well, add in 1/2 tbsp lemon juice in same manner. Add remaining 1/2 cup oil followed by 1/2 tbsp oil gradually while blending. Check for salt and transfer it to a clean & dry container and store in the refrigerator for a month.

Take cleaned chicken breast in a bowl. Add in toum, ginger garlic paste. Lemon juice, paprika powder, jeera powder, seven spices powder, pepper powder, and salt. Mix well and let it marinate for 3-4 hours or overnight.

Place the chicken breast in preheated airfryer and bake it for 5 minutes at 180 degC. Brush with oil, flip and bake for another 4-5 minutes until cooked. Remove onto a plate and slice it.

In a wide plate arrange sliced chicken shawarma, pickled mix veggies, roughly torn lettuce with sliced onion, French fries, pita bread and toum (garlic sauce). Chicken Shawarma Platter is ready to be served.
