Ingredients

2 servings
  1. 150 gramsThinly sliced pork for shabu-shabu
  2. 1/2Onion
  3. 1Green onion or scallion
  4. Creamy sesame sauce:
  5. 3 tbspPlain yogurt
  6. 2 tbspBlended miso
  7. 1 tbspMayonnaise
  8. 1 tspSesame oil
  9. 1/3 tspSalt
  10. 1/2 cloveGarlic

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

Bring some water to a boil, then turn the heat to low. Spread out each of the pork slices as you add them to the pot. When they're just faintly pink, transfer into cold water. Drain with a colander or sieve.

  2. 2

Julienne the onion along the grain. Soak in water for 1 minute. Drain, and arrange onto a serving dish. (If you're using sweet onions, just soak for 10 seconds.)

  3. 3

Place the pork on top of the onions. Serve with creamy sesame sauce that's combined and mixed well together. Also top with small rounds of green onion or scallion.

  4. 4

You can use this creamy sesame saucefor other recipes as well.
