For Bentos! Carrot Flowers (with Photos)

I always add carrot flowers to simmered dishes. I tried adding one to a bento box and it was very cute, so I've been doing it ever since.
In Step 3, if you cut in from the base of your knife and draw it towards you in one smooth motion as if you're cutting sashimi, the slice will be nice and tidy. Recipe by kana-bun

Steps
- 1
Cut flower shapes out of carrot slices using a cutter.
- 2
Make 5 diagonal cuts towards the center from in between the petals.
- 3
Lay the knife blade almost flat, and slice towards the cuts made previously.
- 4
Here's one piece sliced off.
- 5
3 pieces sliced off
- 6
Do this 5 times, and it's done!
- 7
It looks like this from the side.
- 8
Put into a small container with water to cover, and microwave for 1 1/2 to 2 minutes at 500w. Done!
- 9
Put one in a bento like this. It's simple but makes the bento so colorful.
