Cooking Instructions

Wash rice properly, drain and set aside. Wash tomatoes, onion, pepper, Tatashe, Shombo and blend roughly and set aside

Heat up pot on fire, once it’s hot, add both groundnut oil and palm oil, once it’s hot, pour in blended tomatoes paste and allow it to fry without stirring

After about 6 to 8 mins, stir in your smoked chicken and stir fry for another 2 minutes.

Add crayfish, salt and bouillon cube, pour in 2 cups of water and adjust seasoning if necessary, cover pot and allow the base to cook well

Pour in washed rice and stir, adjust seasoning if you have to, reduce heat to the lowest, place nylon over your Jollof mix and cover with your pot lid. This will hasten the cooking process as well

After about 15 mins the water would have dried out, taste rice and check if it’s soft enough; if not add little water cover.

Cook till rice is soft, search and enjoy 😉
