Ingredients

20 minutes
4 people
  • 1/2 cupMoong Dal
  • 2Hilsa fish head (cut in small pieces)
  • 4 tsp.Oil
  • 6green chillies
  • 1/2 tsp.Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp.fried Cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp.Cumin seeds
  • 1dried red chilli
  • as per tasteSalt
  • as per tastesugar
  • 1/4 tsp.Garam masala powder

Steps

20 minutes
  1. 1

    Fry Moonge Dal in a kadai & wash it well. Then Boil it in pressure cooker (2 whistle). Keep aside.

    Marinate the fish head with salt & turmeric powder.

    Heat oil in kadai & add cumin seeds &1dried red chilli. When it splatter, fry marinated fish head well. Then add boiled Moong Dal, salt,sugar, fried cumin powder & garam masala powder. Cook it for 5 minutes in low flame. It's done. Serve it with steamed rice or roti.
