I make this cake every year for my husband.

In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, eggs, milk, and oil. Beat with a mixer until well blended.

Grease and flour a round or square baking pan. Pour the batter into the pan and bake according to the cake mix box instructions. I baked it at 350°F (180°C) for 20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Once baked, let the cake cool completely. Then cut it in half horizontally and separate the layers.

In another bowl, mix together the evaporated milk, table cream, and sweetened condensed milk. This mixture will be used to soak the cake.

In a separate bowl, beat the heavy whipping cream on high speed until it doubles in volume and forms stiff peaks. If you want, add a few drops of gel food coloring.

Place one cake layer in a dish and soak it with some of the three-milk mixture. Spread a layer of whipped cream on top, then add diced peaches and some chopped walnuts.

Place the second cake layer on top. Soak with more of the three-milk mixture, then spread more whipped cream over the top and smooth it with a spatula. Decorate with peach slices, walnut halves, and the cherry as you like.
