Mix all the dry ingredients and marinate the fish

Heat oil in a pan, add a bunch of curry leaves and fry the marinated fish well on both sides

Add the chopped onion,tomato,chilli and salt to the leftover oil and fry well. Add the pepper powder. Once the mix is fried and released oil, add the kokum and some water to bring it to the consistency of a sauce.

Add the fried fish to the sauce and cook for 2-3 minutes till done.
