Rice Kheer was one of the favourite recipe of my late mom in law. I always remember her every now and then. She loved the way I cooked. I dedicate this rice kheer recipe to her remembering her love for me as a daughter. I miss you Bou.

Take milk in a nonstick skillet. When it starts boiling, add soaked basmati rice. Stir intermittently.

When the milk reduced to half, add jaggery powder, sugar, salt and saffron strands with milk.

Bring boil to the milk with these ingredients and then keep the flame low.

When the milk thickens to the desired consistency, bring down from flame.

Allow to cool down the Rice Kheer. Garnish with chopped dry nuts and it's ready to serve.
