Spinach and Cheese Sunflower Bread

This beautiful-looking bread is my tribute to the everlasting friendship I share with Amtul- my bestie. This is dedicated to her.
Since she's in Sharjah, we couldn't meet personally many times. But we stay in touch via social networks which is extremely healing.
True friends are hard to find and it's even harder to maintain those ties in these busy times. But ours has stood the test of time. Trials and tribulations were many but that didn't deter us from keeping our friendship intact.
It's a constant effort from both sides that has kept the spark still alive in our sweetest of relationships.
I couldn't have asked for more. She has been my support system and my strength always.
And I always hope and pray that only death can do us apart.
As you move on in life after school and college, there are many new acquaintances that everyone makes but that one true friend makes all the difference and that is what Amtul is to me. And come to think of it, she has been with me since 11th grade and not exactly as a childhood friend. But it didn't actually change our bond. In fact, we are the bestest buddies to date and are still going strong. Ours is a simple tale of friendship, loyalty, faith, understanding, compassion, companionship, and support.
A big toast to our friendship and to everyone else's out there.
Happy Women's Day!

Steps
- 1
Add Sugar and Yeast to warm Milk and mix lightly. Use extra if required. Or can use water as well if at all needed.
- 2
In a mixing bowl, add the Flour, Salt, and Olive oil. Now add this proved Yeast mix to the flour and make a smooth dough out of it. Knead this dough until it's smooth and apply a few drops of oil to it and cover it up with a cling wrap and leave it in a dark place in your kitchen to double up in volume for about 2 hours.
- 3
When the dough is done, divide it into two portions. Roll out each portion ensuring the thickness is at least half an inch. Only that way, the Bread will be fluffy. Add all the ingredients mentioned underfilling to a bowl and mix well. I didn't add salt to it as it has Cheese in it which is already salty. It's optional. Now on the first rolled-out portion, spread this prepared Spinach and Cheese mix. Cover it up with the second rolled-out portion and seal it well at the edges.
- 4
Place a glass in the center as seen in the pic. Firstly cut it into four. Further followed by four cuts and again followed by four more. In this way, there are 16 parts in all. But remember one thing, which is not to cut it all the way to the end. Give a cut just a little above the end part. After done, twist and flip to the top thereby creating a Sunflower shape.
- 5
Give a Milkwash and sprinkle some Sesame Seeds. Cover and set aside for the second proofing for about 25-30 minutes. This step is important. Meanwhile, preheat your oven to 200° prior to the end of the proofing time. Bake it for about 25-30 minutes and it's done. Brush with some melted butter.
- 6
Voila! Fluffy, soft, and absolutely delicious Sunflower Bread is all ready to be relished. Enjoy!
