  1. 2 cupsrice
  2. 4 cupswater
  3. 1/4onion, finely chopped
  4. 2 clovesgarlic, finely chopped
  5. Salt and garlic powder to taste
  6. 2 tablespoonsolive oil

    In a non-stick pan or medium pot, sauté the chopped onion and garlic in 2 tablespoons of olive oil.

    Add 4 cups of water to the pan or pot and bring to a boil.

    Rinse the rice until the water runs clear, then add it to the boiling water.

    Add salt and garlic powder, cover the pan, and cook on medium-high heat. Once some of the water has evaporated, reduce the heat to low and wait until the water is fully absorbed and the rice is fluffy.
