Ingredients

  • 1 cupOats –
  • 1/2 cup Besan or gram flour –
  • 1 Onion (chopped finely)
  • 1 Tomato –(chopped finely)
  • 2Green chillies – (chopped finely)
  • 1/2 inch Ginger or adrak – (grated or chopped finely)
  • 1/2 teaspoonCumin seeds –
  • 2 tablespoonsCurd –
  • 1/4 teaspoonTurmeric powder –
  • 1/4 teaspoonRed chilli powder –
  • 2 tablespoon Chopped coriander leaves –
  • 3 tablespoonsGrated carrot –
  • as per taste Salt

Steps

    Grind the oats to a fine powder in a mixer grinder.

  2. 2

    Take a mixing bowl and add the oats. Then add besan, onion, tomato, carrot, green chillies, ginger and coriander leaves. Mix everything well.

    Then add curd and little water. Mix well again with the help of a whisker. Add cumin seeds, red chilli powder, turmeric powder and salt.

  4. 4

    Mix well and add more water to form a thick flowing consistency. Heat a pan or tawa on medium flame.

  5. 5

    Pour a ladleful of batter onto the hot tawa and spread gently. Pour oil on the sides of the chilla. Cook on medium flame for a minute. Then flip and cook the other side of the chilla.

  6. 6

    Healthy and delicious oats chilla is ready to be served. Serve with curd, tomato ketchup or green chutney as desired.
