Ingredients

  • for bati:
  • 2 cupwheat flour / atta
  • 1/4 tspsalt
  • 1/4 tspbaking powder
  • 1/4 cupghee / clarified butter
  • as per requirementwater to knead
  • for churma:
  • 2 tbspghee / clarified butter
  • 3 tbsppowdered sugar
  • 2 tbspcashew & almond (chopped)
  • 1/4 tspcardamom powder
  • for dal:
  • 1/2 cupmoong dal / green gram dal
  • 1/4 cupmasoor dal / pink lentils
  • 1/4 cupchana dal / bengal gram dal (soaked 30 minutes)
  • 3 cupwater
  • 3 tspghee / clarified butter
  • 1 tspmustard
  • 1 tspcumin / jeera
  • pinchhing / asafoetida
  • 1onion (finely chopped)
  • 1 tspginger garlic paste
  • 1green chilli (slit)
  • 1tomato (finely chopped)
  • 1/4 tspturmeric
  • 1/2 tspkashmiri red chilli powder
  • 1/4 tspgaram masala
  • 1 tspsalt
  • 1 cupwater
  • 2 tbspcoriander (finely chopped)

Steps

1 hr 10 mins
  1. 1

    Firstly, in a large bowl take 2 cup wheat flour, ¼ tsp salt, ¼ tsp baking powder and ¼ cup ghee.
    mix well making sure the dough is moist.
    now add water as required and knead the dough.
    pinch a small ball sized dough and roll with x impression.
    place the rolled bati in each mould of appe pan
    cover and cook on low flame for 30 minutes all sides.

    Dip the bati in ghee for more soft bati from inside.
    finally, enjoy dal bati churma along with slices of onion and chilli.
