Beef Tagine with Prunes and Apricots 🇲🇦

In a large pot over low heat, sauté the beef with the onion and garlic for 2 minutes.

Add the spices, the bunch of herbs, the Smen, and the water.

Cover and cook over low heat until the meat is tender and the sauce has reduced.

Pit the prunes and place them in a wide pot. Add the water, sugar, butter, cinnamon, and salt. Cover and simmer over low heat for 15 to 20 minutes until soft and syrupy. Do the same for the apricots.

Arrange the meat on a serving dish and top with the candied prunes.

Mix some of the meat sauce with a little prune syrup and pour over the meat.
