Ingredients

2 people
  • 1 cupRice (washed and soaked.in water for 15 min)
  • 2 big sizeTomato (cut into small pieces)
  • 1/2 tspMustard seeds
  • 1/4 tspFenugreek seeds
  • 1/4 tspTurmeric powder
  • 1Onion (finely chopped)
  • 1 tsp, 1/2 tsp, 1Garlic, ginger
  • 1Green chilli finely chopped
  • 1 tspSalt 1
  • 1/2 tspRed chilli powder
  • 2Clove
  • 2Green cardamom
  • 7 - 8Curry leaves
  • 1 tbspCoriander leaves

Steps

  1. 1

    Heat oil in a pressure cooker,add mustard seeds and Fenugreek seeds.Then.add ginger,garlic lemon salt and saute.Add onion and cook for 5-6 min.

    Add all spices,tomato,Curry leaves and coriander leaves.Cook for 5 min.

    Add rice and 2 cups water.Mix.Close the lid and let 3-4 whistle come.Switch off the gas.Wait until all the steam releases. Your flavourful tomato rice is ready to serve. Serve it hot with raita of your choice.
