Homemade Pork Stew
A quick and delicious dish for your lunch.
Steps
- 1
Cut the pork into pieces (depending on how many people you are serving), wash them, and season in a bowl with black pepper, cumin, salt, and seasoning powder. Let it rest for a few minutes.
- 2
Chop a small amount of onion and use either minced or chopped garlic, also in a small amount.
- 3
In a skillet or pot, heat the oil and sauté the pork over low heat. Then remove the pork and set it aside in a separate bowl.
- 4
In the same skillet, add the onion and garlic and cook until golden. You can add a little seasoning powder or turmeric for color (optional).
- 5
Add the pork pieces back to the skillet, stir everything together, and cook the pork for about a minute. Then add enough water to just cover the pork pieces.
- 6
Stir and taste the broth to check the salt. Cover and cook over low heat for about 8 to 10 minutes.
- 7
Check the meat to see if it is cooked through. If the water evaporates too quickly, add a little more. Once done, turn off the heat and serve.
- 8
Serve with rice, beans, or any side you prefer. Enjoy!
