#specialWhile everyone around me is cooking scrumptious, lavish meals, I am enjoying my comfort food - "Dal - Chawal". A lavish meal works for a day or two only, but I find my solace in the staple Dal chawal.🙂A dollop of ghee in bowl of Dal, with red chillies and garlic tadka, and that aroma can make me forget my worries and tiredness.Either with rice, (Da - Chawal) or with roti. ( दाल रोटी खाओ, प्रभु के गुण गाओ) 🙂So, here's my recipe of Moong Dal Tadka.Do try it once. Shradha Nema (foodgazin') -

#Feb#W4Winter is about to go and the veggies that are still around invites us to make some dishes which would showcase the lingering effect. One such is Palak Dal Tadka. This style is a little different as roasted Papad is used as a Tadka. Though not uncommon to use Papad for Tadka, I loved using and enjoying the Palak Dal with rice. #dalcurry - Whole Green Moong dal is very healthy, nutritious and easy to digest. It can be prepared as a curry, khichdi (porridge) or as a soup. It can also be soaked and sprouted to be used in salads or chaats. It simply tastes yummy in any which way it is had. It is a powerhouse of proteins and nutrients and should be had as frequently as possible. So obviously good for the elderly and during pregnancy. This dal recipe is slightly on the thicker side and is best had with any Indian bread. Be sure to include some sliced onion, green chilies and a drizzle of lime juice. It can also be had with rice along with some pickle and papad as accompaniment. Bethica Das -
