In typical telugu brahmins we regularly eat moong dal plain or with lemon juice added to it .There are variety of ways to prepare this dal with any leafy vegetable. We can add spinach or menthi leaves to this dal tadka . Here I have tried with spinach . My mother used to prepare this dal on Kartik somvars , when we do fasting whole day and take dinner in the night after doing pooja of Lord Siva .We used to love this dal very much with hot rice . We can make with menthi leaves instead of spinach . We never add onions or garlic to dal on Fasting Day dinner.I hope you will like this very simple recipe .
