  • 4Bread slices
  • 1/2 cupDesiccated coconut
  • 1/2 cupPowdered sugar
  • 1/4 cupDry fruits
  • 1/4 cupMilk
  • 1 tbspGhee
  • 1 tspCardamom powder

Steps

  1. 1

    Make bread crumbs with bread slices.

  2. 2

    Make a fine powder of cashew nuts and badam.

  3. 3

    In a thick-bottomed pan dry roast bread crumbs for a few minutes.

    Add dry fruit powder, and desiccated coconut, and saute for a few more minutes.

  5. 5

    Switch off the flame.
    Mix sugar and cardamom powder.
    Allow cooling.

    Mix ghee well.
    Add milk little by little until the mixture starts binding

    Make modak using moulds.
