Teriyaki Pork Rice Bowl

It’s hard to believe for me, but there are many bottled Teriyaki Sauce products in Australia, and the flavours of those sauces are often very different from what I know as Teriyaki. I am Japanese and I know what Teriyaki is. Teriyaki sauce can be easily made with three Japanese seasoning staples, that are Sugar, Mirin and Soy Sauce. Mirin can be substituted with Sake (Rice Wine) and Sugar. Today I added grated Ginger to it. If you like Teriyaki flavour, I recommend to stock Sugar, Mirin and Soy Sauce, and make the sauce yourself. It’s simple, and you can add extra ingredients such as Ginger, Garlic, Sesame Oil, or etc.
