My family's favourite breakfast is sooji/semolina Upma. It's easy to prepare and with dals, nuts and veggies, this recipe becomes a wholesome diet. This breakfast also lasts longer.

My family's favourite breakfast is sooji/semolina Upma. It's easy to prepare and with dals, nuts and veggies, this recipe becomes a wholesome diet. This breakfast also lasts longer.
Steps

Heat oil in a pan and add cumin and mustard seeds and allow to splutter. Add both chana dal and Urad dal and saute on low flame.

Add cashews, curry leaves, onion, and chili. Fry them.

Now mix chopped veggies, tomatoes, salt, sugar, and turmeric powder.

Add 2.5 bowls of water, Cover, and allow to boil. Slow down the flame and add roasted sooji stirring continuously to avoid lumps formation. Add the ghee.

Semolina absorbs water and Upma is prepared. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve your family with sprouted green moong and apple.
