Yakisoba noodles with starchy sauce

Last night, I opened my fridge and found only Chinese cabbage and pork belly. Then I searched these two ingredients in Cookpad Japan and found Yakisoba noodle recipe. Since I always have Yakisoba noodles in my stock, I made the recipe and was good!!

Slightly changed the amount of ingredients, so here I’m sharing to keep it for my future reference!

This is the original recipe: https://cookpad.wasmer.app/recipe/3241469

I #ChooseToCook because we eat 3 times a day and I believe “What we eat is what we are”. I love to cook for others and eat together, but I still choose to cook when I’m alone at home.😀

Take out the noodle from a packet. Heat a pan, add some sesame oil and cook the noodle under low-medium heat until the noodles become slightly brown. Set the noodle aside.

  2. 2

Cut the pork belly and Chinese cabbage in small bite sizes. Use the same pan, heat sesame oil and cook pork belly. Once the pork is mostly cooked, add Chinese cabbage and cook until they become soft. I put the lid to make it cook faster.

  3. 3

Add sauce ingredients A. Mix and cook until the water boils. Once it’s boiled, stop the heat and add sauce ingredients B(starch mixed with water). Mix well and heat it up again until the sauce becomes starchy.
