Kada prashad (wholewheat flour halwa)

In a pan add water and sugar and bring it to boil. Boil until sugar has dissolved. Turn off the gas. (i have added few strands if saffron)

In another pan add ghee and flour and roast until golden brown. Do not overcook as it will taste bitter. This process should take about 6 to 7 minutes. Add in the syrup and stir continuously. Take extra care when adding syrup as it could splutter.

Cook until it forms a dough consistency or when flipped it rolls in a ball. Turn off the gas and transfer in a serving dish. Kada prashad is ready.
