When you are very busy in some necessary work, then try this simple and tasteful rice recipe with minimal side items. The family would certainly be appreciated.

Wash and soak the rice for 15 minutes. Take a pressure cooker. Add ghee. When it's slightly warm, add cumin seeds, bay leaf and black peppercorns. Allow to crackle.

Then mix the soaked rice, salt, carom seeds and dry ginger powder. Lightly mix the soaked rice with these masala so not to break the rice.

Add 3.5 cup water and cook till one whistle on low to medium flame.

Allow to cool down the pressure cooker naturally. Serve hot with Aloo bhaja, cucumber and sweet imli.
