Ingredients

25-30 minutes
3 servings
  1. 3/4 cuprice
  2. 2 tablespoonoil
  3. 1 tablespoongarlic-ginger-greenchilli paste
  4. 1-2bulb tablespoon chopped spring onion
  5. 1/4 cupchopped carrot
  6. 1/4 cupfinely chopped capsicum
  7. 1/4 cupfinely chopped cabbage
  8. 1 tablespoonchopped french beans
  9. Salt to taste
  10. 1/2 teaspoonblack pepper powder
  11. 1 tablespooncornflour slurry
  12. 2 tablespoonschezwan chutney or sauce
  13. 1 teaspoonsoya sauce
  14. 1/4 teaspoonvinegar
  15. For manchurian balls:
  16. 3/4 cupfinely chopped cabbage
  17. 1-2bulb finely chopped spring onion
  18. 2 tablespoongrated carrot
  19. Salt to taste
  20. 1 teaspooncrushed green chilies garlic ginger paste
  21. 1/2 teaspoonblack pepper powder
  22. 1/2 teaspoonsoya sauce
  23. 2 tablespoonall purpose flour
  24. 1 tablespooncornflour
  25. Oil for frying

Steps

25-30 minutes
  1. 1

    Wash and soak rice in water for 15-20 minutes. Cook with enough water as all grains remain separate.

    For manchurian balls: In a mixing bowl take chopped cabbage, carrot, spring onion and green chilies garlic ginger paste. Add salt, black pepper powder, soya sauce, corn flour and all purpose flour. Combine all ingredients well.

    Prepare equal size of small balls from it. Deep fry in hot oil until golden and crisp from outside. Keep aside.

    In a pan heat oil. Add green chili garlic ginger paste and saute for sometimes. Add chopped spring onion and saute it. Add chopped cabbage, french beans, capsicum and carrot. Saute for 3-4 minutes.

    Add salt, black pepper powder, soya sauce, vinegar and schezwan sauce. Mix well. Add cornflour slurry and approximately 1/4 cup water. Stir it and add prepared manchurian balls. Stir until water absorbs.

    Add cooked rice and combine well. Add some chopped spring onion leaves. Tempting, spicy manchurian fried rice is ready to serve.
