Ingredients

40 minutes
3 servings
  • 1 cuplobia
  • 1 tbspoil
  • 1/2 tspmustard seeds
  • 1/2 tspcumin seeds
  • Pinchhing
  • 1/2onion (finely chopped)
  • 1/4 tspturmeric powder
  • 1 tspred chilli powder
  • 1 tspcoriander powder
  • 1/2 tspgaram masala
  • as requiredSalt to taste
  • 1tomato (finely chopped)
  • 3 cupwater
  • 2 tbspcoriander (finely chopped)
  • For masala paste :
  • 2 tspoil
  • 2garlic cloves (crushed)
  • 1 inchginger
  • 1/2onion (sliced)
  • 3 tbspcoconut (grated)
  • 1/4 cupwater

Steps

40 minutes
  1. 1

    Firstly, in a pressure cooker pour oil add cumin and mustard, it splutter, add hing.

  2. 2

    Saute onions until it turns golden brown.

  3. 3

    Keeping the flame on low, add spices and salt. Saute until spices turns aromatic.

  4. 4

    Add prepare coconut masala paste and saute for 3 minutes.

  5. 5

    Add in soaked lobia along with 3 cup of water. Mix well.

  6. 6

    Pressure cook for 5 whistles.

  7. 7

    Finally, garnish with coriander and serve lobia masala with chapati.
