Chickpea Fatteh with Yogurt
Serve for breakfast.
Steps

Simmer the desired amount of chickpeas over low heat until tender.

In a bowl, combine 1 1/2 cups of yogurt (about 360 ml), 1 teaspoon tahini, 2 garlic cloves, and salt to taste. Mix well.

Fry or toast 1 pita bread until crisp.

In a pan, melt 1 tablespoon butter and add 2 tablespoons of cashews, almonds, and pine nuts if available. Fry until golden.

Once the chickpeas are cooked, take 1 cup and season with a pinch of salt and cumin.

After preparing the ingredients, assemble the dish. The quantities can be doubled for more servings; the listed amounts are for one person.

Cut the fried or toasted bread into pieces and place in a bowl. Top with 1 cup of chickpeas and the yogurt mixture. Meanwhile, melt 1 tablespoon of butter and drizzle over the yogurt, or use 1 tablespoon olive oil if you prefer. Garnish with the fried nuts and a pinch of cumin.

You can also fry 2 tablespoons of ground beef and use it to garnish the dish.
