Ingredients

  1. 1 lbbrown lentils (about 500 grams)
  2. 1tomato
  3. 1onion, chopped
  4. 2 clovesgarlic and paprika
  5. Beef or chicken broth
  6. 2 tablespoonsbutter
  7. Cumin and black pepper
  8. Dried cilantro and mixed spices
  9. Salt and cayenne pepper

Cooking Instructions

    Sort and rinse the lentils thoroughly.

    Boil the lentils in water. You can discard the water if you like, then add any meat or chicken broth after the lentils are cooked.

    Add the tomato, garlic, and all the spices.

    Sauté the chopped onion and minced garlic in butter until golden.

    Add the sautéed mixture to the lentils and cook for another 2 minutes.

    Serve hot with toasted bread.
