First soak green moong for 8 to 10 hours in water. Its size will increase after 8 hours. Remove water completely. Tie green moong in clean cotton cloth for another 8 hours to sprout it.

In mixer jar, take onion, garlic, ginger and sliced coconut. Make coarse paste. Add little water while grinding.

Heat earthen pot. Add oil. When oil is heated, add grinded paste. It is called vatan in marathi.

Cook for 7 to 8 minutes. Stir occasionally.

Add turmeric powder, cumin coriander powder, red chili powder, kashmiri red chili powder and kanda lasun masala. Cook all spices for 3 to 5 minutes.

Add tomatoes. Mix all cook for another 5 minutes.

Add sprouts. Mix it all. Cook for 3 to 4 minutes.

Add 2 cups of hot water in sprouted mixture. Or add water as per thick gravy you required. Add salt. Cover lid. Cook for 10 to 15 minutes. Let speouts cook completely. You may add jaggery and little tamarind paste to increase its taste.

Serve with jowar bhakri or chapati or hot ghee rice.
