Sauté your cut up bacon in a large pot until cooked, do not drain bacon fat ……

Add to cooked bacon your sliced onion, green pepper, black pepper, crushed red pepper and minced garlic and sauté until veggies are tender……

Meanwhile boil water for your spaghetti and don’t forget to salt your water! Cook until al dente and drain spaghetti thoroughly, then add to pot with the cooked bacon, stir until evenly coated …..

Add your heavy cream, cook on low heat until heated through…… Let spaghetti stand in pot with heat off for about 10 minutes……

Stir and serve immediately with Parmesan cheese and enjoy 😉!!

This recipe is a slightly less artery-clogging but just as rich version of that one. I got the recipe from RealSimple blog and it was simple, although kinda sauce-less. Since the recipe is from RealSimple, the way to cook it is ALSO really simple. I tweaked it by seasoning the spaghetti with a little olive oil, salt, pepper, chicken powder and soy sauce. The amazing thing is that you don't really need to flavor anything else in the bacon tray because the bacon's got all of the flavor as it is! Marsha M -
