One of the most celebrated side dishes in south India, with recipes varying in every 100 kms. This particular recipe comes handy, if you don’t have much time. Tastes amazing with white rice, especially if you have cold.

Cook tomato with Ambula and salt in pressure cooker for 2 whistles. If using tamarind pulp, cook only tomato with salt.

Give tadka with oil, hing, red chilli, curry leaves, urad daal, chana daal, mustard seeds, garlic.

Add pinch of turmeric and the cooked tomato to the tempering, followed by rasam powder and tamarind pulp(if you used Ambula, skip tamarind). Garnish with freshly chopped coriander leaves.
