Microwaved Strawberry Sauce - When You Just Need a Little in a Hurry

I created this recipe when I wanted to have a small amount of strawberry sauce for yogurt or ice cream.
- The dish will be really hot right after microwaving, so please be careful.
- The microwave at our house is 500 W. Adjust the cooking time depending on your microwave.

Wash and hull the strawberries. Pat dry the excess water with a paper towel. (Cut large strawberries in half.)

Put the strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice in a deep dish, and toss briefly.

Microwave for 2.5 minutes at 500 W without plastic wrap or lid.

Lightly mash the strawberries with a spoon, and mix.

Microwave again for another 1-1.5 minutes without plastic wrap.

Once it has cooled down a bit, refrigerate until chilled and it's done!

I used this sauce in"Hot Strawberry Milk with Condensed Milk." The cute pink milk is so comforting!
