Pasta: In a pot, add enough water to cook the pasta, along with the oil and salt. Once it boils, add the pasta and cook for 15 minutes. Drain the pasta, rinse with cold water to stop the cooking, and set aside.

Meatballs: In a large bowl, mix the ground beef, lentils, egg, and spices. Gradually add breadcrumbs until the mixture is firm and sticky. Shape into balls using 1 tablespoon of mixture or about 20 grams each. Brown the meatballs in a skillet with a little oil to sear them, then set aside.

Sauce: In a skillet, cook the onion, tomatoes, and garlic until the onion is translucent.

In a large pot, combine the tomato mixture, tomato puree, a little water, bay leaf, sugar, chicken bouillon powder, and salt and pepper to taste. Cook for 10 minutes or until the sauce turns a deep red color.

To serve, place a bed of pasta on the plate, add some sauce, then the meatballs, and garnish with Parmesan cheese and chopped parsley.
