Today I have made tasty bengali appetizer for lunch. It's very easy to make. It's best goes to steam rice.

Heat mustard oil in a kadai add mustard seeds and methi and saute few seconds then add papaya pieces and cook 2-3 minutes then add ginger paste mix it well and cook.

Now add milk and water mix it, cover and cook on low flame. After some times add fried dal dumplings, mix it and again cover and cook 3-4 minutes.

Once papaya cooked properly and it's becomes thicker then add ghee, sugar and roasted panch phoran powder, mix it properly. Peper shukto is ready.
